Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
- ½ cup Peanut Butter
- ½ cup + 1 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- Optional: ½ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (for added sweetness)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 6-inch (or 8-inch) brownie pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the applesauce, peanut butter, and cocoa powder. Use a silicone spatula for best results, making sure the batter is thick, moist, and fully mixed.
- Taste the batter. If it’s a bit too bitter for your liking, stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips for that extra touch of sweetness.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth it out. Add a few extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Bake for 25-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few sticky crumbs. If they’re too moist, bake a little longer.
- Let them cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Allow them to cool completely (about an hour) before slicing. If they’re too fragile, pop them in the fridge to firm up.
