Hi I’m Jill

I’m a registered dietitian who specializes in the aviation industry, helping airline transport pilots and air traffic controllers safeguard their health for long, satisfying careers and lives. It’s a rare profession, but a natural match for a RD who has lived the aviation lifestyle for much of her life.
TAKE THE FIRST STEP

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been surrounded by airline pilots. I graduated from a major university’s dietetic program. While there I had many close friends attain their FAA Medical and ATP ratings. Most went on to become United States military fighter pilots or Airline Transport Pilots.

Later in life, these friends started getting sick. The stress, sitting, sleep disruptions, and poor diet took a toll on their bodies. They began developing type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, and some lost their FAA medicals. I got to see firsthand the psychological and financial fallout, all the while knowing it didn’t have to be that way.

In 2015, it became clear that my nutrition and fitness expertise could help aviators turn their health around. I built a private practice that provides pilots and air traffic controllers the knowledge and skills needed to avoid disease and FAA medical loss while improving their overall health. I’ve now helped over 400 aviation professionals and their families take command of their health, and I’d love to help you, too!

My Nutrition Philosophy

My Nutrition Philosophy

There is no standard diet for all people. And while there are common fueling and lifestyle challenges faced by most aviation professionals, you are entirely unique! When we work together, we build a custom plan for your health, needs, and preferences and then help you gain the practical tools and confidence to carry it out.

I believe there are no “good” and “bad” foods — and food is here to be enjoyed. So instead of restricting foods or food groups, I help you understand where and when different foods fit into an aviator’s life. You’ll be better able to approach fueling for life with ample amounts of both nutrients and pleasurable experiences. After all, I don’t just want you to have a long career and life, I want it to be a happy one, too.
